In 1947 Cliff Nienhueser and Ervin Fischer went into partnership to form Nienhueser and Fischer Construction.  Ervin Fischer sold out to Don Weber in 1957.  Don sold his partnership to Cliff in 1960.  In later years, Cliff's sons' Dennis, Dave and Keith joined the business.  When Cliff retired in 1977 the company was incorporated. Mark, another son,  was part of the corporation for three years until 1982.   Paul Nienhueser, the fifth son, joined the company after the acquisition of Filsinger Excavating Company in 1996. 

    Cliff was Chairman of the Board until his death in 2000.  Ruth, Cliff's wife, continues as a Director. Currently, Dave is President, Keith is Vice-President and Dennis is Secretary/Treasurer. 

    Nienhueser Construction and Excavating Company has 25 - 30 employees.  They have provided Western Nebraska and Cheyenne County over 55 years of continuous, high-quality construction and excavating services.
